Clive Dawson

I am a Cambridge based Artist, who normally paints in acrylics, but I like to experiment and use all kinds of different media.

Expression, mood and atmosphere are what I am looking for in my work. Whether painting from photographs, or directly in front of the subject, I like taking liberties with colour, and making marks, in an attempt to engage the viewer with the work. Humour is important to me, and if I can make somebody smile with a painting I am very happy.

I exhibit widely in the eastern region, and I am a member of Cambridge Open Studios, Cambridge & District Art Circle, Cottenham Arts and the SAA.
